A weather resistant LCD screen from AQUiVO has been installed at London's Frutina Swim Centre.
The screen was specified by SwimRight Ltd - which specialises in the application of technology for advanced analytical techniques in competitive swimming - because of its resistance to humidity and water.
The Swim Centres are designed to help swimmers improve their techniques. 'Flo pools' create a current in the water for the students to swim against, during which they are filmed underwater.
This is relayed onto the AQUiVO screen and the coach or trainer can then analyse the swimmer's strokes and show how they can be improved.
The sequence can be played back as many times as is necessary, whilst the swimmer watches from the pool.
The screen - which has a fully sealed, lightweight aluminium frame and toughened glass front - has an IP56 rating which allows it to be placed right next to a pool regardless of either humidity in the air or splashes generated by swimming.
AQUiVO screens are distributed in the UK by Reading-based specialist advanced av hire and sales company PSCo.
