Elizabeth Arden Inc. is constructing a Red Door Spa by Union Square in New York, according to reports.
The 10,000sq ft (928sq m) space is on the ground and basement levels on the Park Avenue building that houses their corporate headquarters and would be the third Red Door Spa in Manhattan.
According to Crain's New York Business, the 103-year-old brand is trying to gain a larger foothold in the global spa industry.
The ground floor of the space is expected to sell beauty products with the spa operating from the basement level.
Other spas in the area include the Oasis Day Spa and Heaven Spa.
Elizabeth Arden recently reported net sales of US$812.5m (622m euro, £622m) for the six months ended December 31, up 10 per cent for the same period in the previous year.
