Celtic Manor chef wins ISPA award

The Celtic Manor Resort spa in Newport, Wales, is celebrating its head chef winning ISPA's inaugural European Spa Chef of The Year award at last month's European conference. Michael Bates won the Gold Award after a cook-off in front off judges, and beat competition from spas in Sweden, Italy and the Netherlands. ISPA Europe president, Jonathan Stapleton, said the award is positive for the industry: This competition is very important for the spa industry in that it will continue to promote best practice and, therefore, excellence in spa cuisine.
