£7m Glasgow Museums resource site opens

The £7m Museums Resource Centre has officially opened in Glasgow.

It will house over 200,000 paintings, ceramics, sculptures and armour which had previously been stored in the Kelvingrove Gallery’s basement.

Now the centre, located in south Nitshill, is open, the Kelvingrove Gallery’s basement will undergo re-development to turn it into a public gallery with a current completion date of 2006.
