The Niyama and Huvafen Fushi resorts in the Maldives are encouraging guests to take the plunge into the world of culture with a new underwater art exhibition by Andreas Franke.
Each photographic piece – which is cased in plexiglass and suspended from underwater structures – features the signature of the Indian ocean, as floating algae and microorganisms round off the effect.
The exhibition can be viewed from inside the underwater music club Subsix at NIYAMA and inside the underwater LIME spa at Huvafen Fushi, where guests can view the unique creations while enjoying a manicure or pedicure.
The exhibition runs until the end of May 2014, with pieces available to purchase at US$15,000 each (€10,810, £9,034).
