The Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference is launching for the first time in Lagos, Nigeria this year. Dedicated to the spa and wellness industry, haircare and beauty, the event is being organised by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions and will be held at the Eko Hotel & Suites between 7-9 October.
Workshops and live beauty demonstrations will be led by leaders in skincare, spa and wellness, haircare and beauty.
One of the panelists scheduled to advise guests at the exhibition on spa and wellness in Africa is Pamela Olatunji Bello, owner and laser technician at the Bnatural medical Spa and Laser centre.
Funmi Odegbami, the CEO of MiNK London and a member of the Black Women in Europe Power list – selected by the eponymous blog – will be offering beauty-centric lectures at the event. “Having spoken at similar events in the UK, Europe and the US, I know how valuable this opportunity will be for Nigerian and African beauty and spa professionals,” said Odegbami.
“As well as providing an opportunity for attendees to learn from the best that the industry has to offer, Beauty Africa also provides a unique platform for networking with peers, exhibitors, brand owners and beauty enthusiasts,” Odegbami added.
Celebrity makeup artist Khuraira Musa, founder of Khuraira cosmetics – a makeup line which provides corrective solutions and anti-ageing results – will speak at the event. “[The conference] is a perfect platform to fulfil my purpose of empowering, inspiring and educating women about beauty,” said Musa.
