Spa equipment manufacturer Thermarium Bäder-Bau has been acquired by the Klafs Group – a sauna, pool and spa manufacturer.
Klafs recently acquired all shares of Thermarium, which had previously been part of a sizeable Tyrolean group of companies involved in public health and plumbing engineering. Thermarium will continue to operate independently, however, with its own product and service portfolio and position in the market.
In addition to spa equipment, Thermarium also supplies a range of spa services including planning consultations and initial operational services for turnkey facilities.
Thermarium recently appointed a new management team, consisting of Adrian Egger and Jürgen Klingenschmid. Egger is a spa expert with more than 15 years' experience in the spa industry and has recently been appointed as the Austrian Ambassador to the Global Wellness Day. Klingenschmid has more than 30 years' experience in the industry, including the role of vice president of the Austrian Sauna Forum and committee member of the Austrian Standards Institute.
Meanwhile, Klafs has appointed a new managing director of its spa division, Patrick Pfeifer, replacing Egger who used to work in this role.
