Jill Stein partners with Made for Life Organics for amenities range
26 Jan 2018 . BY Lauren Heath-Jones
Jill Stein, wife of celebrity-chef Rick Stein, has created a range of amenities which are used in all Rick Stein properties
Interior designer and entrepreneur Jill Stein has partnered with Made for Life Organics founder Amanda Barlow to create Porthdune, an amenities range made from 100 per cent natural ingredients.

Porthdune was inspired by the beauty of the Cornish coast and consists of five pieces: shampoo, conditioner, hand and body wash, hand and body lotion, and organic soap.

The shampoo promises to deliver sleek, shiny and nourished hair. It contains seaweed extract and panthenol (vitamin B5) to gently cleanse and hydrate the hair.

The conditioner is designed to detangle, lock in moisture, and intensely re-condition the hair. It is formulated with seaweed extract, aloe vera, avocado and coconut oils

The hand and body wash is pH balanced and contains seaweed to draw impurities out of the skin and maintain its moisture levels. While the hand and body lotion is a rich cream made with avocado, coconut and apricot oils to nourish the skin.

The soap is made from organic ingredients and is designed to gently cleanse and scent the skin.

All the products are scented with geranium, lavender and ylang ylang essential oils to calm and uplift the senses. A range of candles is also currently in development.

Stein says: "Porthudune is my personal collection of natural toiletries and candles, inspired by the beauty of the Cornish coast. I’ve worked closely with Cornish skincare experts Made for Life Organics to develop this beautifully scented range to leave users feeling refreshed and rejuvenated"

Barlow says: "We have loved working with Jill and the team at Stein’s to create the Porthdune range. Jill is an exceptional woman and I am thrilled to have created fragrances within a skincare and homecare range to encapsulate her vision of magical Cornwall. The team here at Made for Life Organics pride ourselves on the bespoke products we make for our partners, and we are delighted with this fantastic product."

Made for Life Organics

Used in many spas and hotels who have a commitment to sustainable ethics and values, Made for Life Organics was the first range of organic skincare in the UK to receive 100% accreditation from the Soil Association for the whole range.

Made for Life Organics is based at the Health & Wellbeing Innovation Centre in Cornwall where they manufacture the whole range. The ethics and values of hand-blending herbs and flowers selected for their gentle healing or revitalising qualities with specific quantities of Soil Association certified, pure organic, cold-pressed oils have been in place since the company’s inception.

All Made for Life Organics ingredients are selected for their composition and synergy with the skin; their aromatherapy qualities and their ability to deliver highly effective skincare solutions in impeccably pure balms.
