The National Space Centre is the latest Millennium Commission backed attraction to smash its visitor targets. The Leicester-based attraction, which opened at the end of June this year, has already exceeded its 2001 target visitor numbers of 154,174. The Space Centre is supported by a £23m grant for the Millennium Commission and comprises four key elements: the Exhibition, the Space Theatre, the Challenger Learning Centre and CATSAT Satellite and Research Centre.
