The first museum devoted to a composer in London has opened in Brook Street in London's west-end. Part of the Handel House Museum is the former home of the eighteenth-century composer, George Frideric Handel and will be used for display purposes and musical rehearsals. The museum has been created by the Handel House Trust, founded in 1991, with the aim of celebrating the life of the composer. The restored Georgian interior rooms will house loans of fine art from British private and public collections with themes such as 'handel's london'. The public will have access to rooms where pieces such as Mesiah and the Coronation Anthems were originally composed.
