Heritage education specialists require more complex skills if they are to deliver top flight learning programmes as part of the government's learning agenda, according to a survey carried out by The Campaign for Museums and Galleries (clmg) and The Cultural Heritage National Training Organisation (CHNTO). After 150 interviews with heritage education specialists the survey reported that lifelong learning is now at the core of museum education and that heritage educators need to be able do far more than 'just teach;' for example, project management and budget skills are required.
