Pubmaster has made a £500m offer for the 1,200-pub chain, Inn Partnership, run by Japanese bank Nomura. The Inn Partnership estate would make Pubmaster one of the largest pub operators in the UK, placing it third alongside Enterprise Inns with more than 3,250 pubs. Pubmaster narrowly missed out on regional brewer Wolverhampton & Dudley in August with a £485m takeover bid. Nomura bought Inn Partnership for £375m in 1999 from Greenalls.
