Restaurant operator Tiger Lil's Flaming Woks is opening its third Asian restaurant in London this month. The restaurant in Bayswater follows sites in Clapham and Islington and continues the Tiger Lil's blueprint of bringing 'south-east Asian street eating into a western urban setting' by having fresh raw ingredients stir-fried by wok chefs in front of diners. Centred around the raised open-wok kitchen, the 100-cover restaurant spans 3,000sq ft and has been designed by restaurant specialists Antarchitecture and Chameleon Refurbishments. Tiger Lil's managing director, Tim Moss, says the new site is part of a broader expansion programme: Bayswater is the next step in our plan to have 10 Tiger Lil's in operation by the end of 2004. We have developed two roll-out models of 100 and 200 covers and are currently looking for three to four new London sites before embarking on a national roll-out.
