Pop band Atomic Kitten is heading up the latest Butlins winter brochure, in the continuing efforts of the resort operator to attract greater audiences all year round. Atomic Kitten, who will be joined in the Butlins winter programme by other acts such as Ronan Keating and A1, will be at the forefront of Butlins' new campaign which will look to build on encouraging signs from the last winter and summer seasons, which so far has seen significant increases in attendence and revenue. Managing director, George Rushton told Leisure Opportunities: 'We are very excited about the new brochure, which is our best yet.' Rushton added that he wanted to rebuild the Butlins name, based on an extensive programme of live music: 'Signing big acts, like Ronan Keating and Atomic Kitten, is part of a plan - I want Butlins to be a brand which is syonymous with quality live entertainment.' Butlins is repeating the certificate system first used last year, which grades the offered winter breaks from U to 18, allowing visitors to choose the best break: 'The certificate system is due to better communication with our customers. This brochure is a further step - I think it's very user friendly, and allows customers to see precisely what they're getting,' said Rushton.
