Invicta Leisure has reported continued growth across its health and racquet clubs and the newly formed club indigo chain. In the six months to 30 June 2001, membership increased by 64 per cent to 45,000 and turnover was up by 55 per cent on the same period in 2000. The results were boosted by the launch of the club indigo chain, with three opening since September 2000, and the opening of The Glamorgan and The Devonshire Health and Racquet clubs. In the existing portfolio, both membership and turnover were up 10 per cent. Chief executive Kevin McCollum, says Invicta is on course to double its number of clubs by the end of 2002.
