Camelot has warned that if the UK gambling laws are relaxed, it will lose £900m in annual sales. The figure represents more than one fifth of the lottery operator's turnover. The report says that with sales already declining, £400m a year will be cut from the money Camelot gives to good causes from 2004. With the relaxing in betting laws expected from October, more people will turn to better odds offered by bookmakers not bound to give to good causes.
