A biannual survey of hospitals across the US, conducted by the Health Forum, has shown that the number of hospitals offering massage therapy has increased by more than a third in two years.
According to Forbes, the survey, which took place in 2006, found that body, foot and hand massages for patients, as well as infant massage to soothe babies, were particularly popular.
Chair massages for employees were also well received.
