A consortium of investors has submitted plans to Waterford County Council for a £104m (150m euro, US$206.3m) resort on the coast of Cahir near Tramore, south-east Ireland.
The as yet unnamed resort project will be located in Islandikane, and will have an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature golf course as its centrepiece, along with a period-style hotel with a health spa, bar, restaurant and function room. A clubhouse, leisure centre with various sports facilities, 51 golf lodges and 28 houses will complete the development.
Construction for the resort is expected to take two-years once planning permission is granted. Architects for the project are Fewer, Harrington, Lawlor & Partners.
When completed, the resort will provide employment for up to 350 people.
