Our playlists have been uniquely designed for the Spa environment, by our award-winning wellbeing musicians and based on feedback from Spa owners and independent therapists.

The service is designed to be cost-effective, with a simple annual subscription of $250 (plus $150 per additional Spa location), which provides an unlimited number of therapists with the option to select playlists for their treatments.

With this subscription you gain access to over 50 playlists created for different types and lengths of treatments and you can be confident of being fully compliant for business use with all music licences covered within the subscription.

The growth of music as a tool for wellbeing within spas in 2023 and beyond
Music has always been part of the traditional spa journey. Now, thanks to increasing consumer awareness about how music can powerfully improve health and wellbeing – music is becoming an even more important part of the experience spas can offer.

Many consumers consider music a fundamental part of their approach to self-care, with studies showing 89 per cent of people believe music is essential for their health and wellbeing (British Academy of Sound Therapy). This means creating an elevated audio experience within spas is critical to attracting business in 2023 and beyond.

Furthermore, the global pandemic drove more people to begin using music to improve wellbeing. According to the Global Wellness Institute: “As we emerge from the pandemic... the wellness economy will return to its robust growth. We project 9.9 per cent average annual growth, with the wellness economy reaching nearly US$7trn in 2025”. With this in mind, Myndstream predicts providing a choice of music for treatments and upselling customers to music curated or created for particular treatments will contribute to this growth.

Encouragingly, studies are being conducted to help us better understand the impact of music designed for health and wellbeing. These are bringing together experts from the fields of health and wellness with leading wellbeing musicians such as Liquid Mind.

Myndstream launches Spa Music Service to transform spa clients’ audio experience
Myndstream – the official music partner of the Global Wellness Institute and its annual Summit – has unveiled its innovative Spa Music Service to elevate clients’ audio experience at spa and wellness facilities.

The launch is backed by an ever-growing body of evidence proving the power of music on the mind. In fact, a recent study conducted by the British Academy of Sound Therapy, 89 per cent of people believed music was essential for their health and wellbeing.

Guided by results of the latest academic studies, Myndstream engages its roster of musicians to create new works for the spa market with frequencies, tonalities and tempos that research shows can have a direct effect on relaxation and mood enhancement.

Offering access to more than 50 bespoke playlists, the Spa Music Service provides a fully licensed proposition to business owners, features content from award-winning wellbeing musicians and accommodates unlimited logins to create a cost-effective solution.

Available now via the Myndstream website, spa owners and individual therapists can purchase access to the music service directly and start using the service straight away.

Committed to innovation
To ensure Myndstream is always meeting the needs of individual therapists and their clients, the Spa Music Service is built on feedback from spa owners and the music playlists are part of an ongoing programme of review and feedback.

Myndstream conducted an Initial Music Quality Assurance Test which found that 85 per cent of respondents felt the music matched the environment of the spa and 92 per cent of respondents were “very likely” or “likely” to recommend the music to another spa (Myndstream Research 2022).
