Leisure Connection swimming centre opens in Norwich

Leisure Connection is managing the £5.7m newly opened Norwich City Council Riverside Swimming Centre.

Funded mainly by a £2.8m grant from Sport England and £2.3m from Norwich City Council, the centre will run the Leisure Connection AquaAction programme of swimming and water-based activities.

'We are very excited to be managing this brand new facility for the people of Norwich,' said Michael Woolhouse, head of business development at Leisure Connection. The company now runs the AquaAction programme in 63 sites. The scheme has welcomed 47,000 children since it began over two years ago. Details: www.leisureconnection.co.uk
