Luxury cruise company Blue World Voyages – said to own world's only "active lifestyle" ocean liner – has announced that its 350-guest maiden ship will include a select number of for-purchase Owners Residences.
Collaboratively created by veteran marine architects Tomas Tillberg International and Poggi Design, the apartments will feature private balconies, walk-in wardrobes, and expansive living rooms.
Juan Poggi, principal and founder at Poggi Design, told Well Home that the spaces would be comprised of "untouched materials" and follow a neutral colour scheme.
Owners will also have round-the-clock access to an on-hand concierge as well as exclusive access to a private terrace, lounge, and bar.
Other onboard leisure and wellness facilities will include a fitness centre, spa, multiple pools, and sports simulators.
Speaking on the project, Fredy Dellis, a co-founder of Blue World Voyages and the former CEO and president of The World at ResidenSea, commented: "As interest in cruise-travel surges, sophisticated travellers are looking to own a home at sea.
"By offering Owners Residences, Blue World Voyages provides an option for active, athletic and health-focused travellers to own their own space at sea, whilst travelling the world with like-minded individuals."
The company's first ship is expected to launch in 2020.
