Bliss has opened its first spa facility in Los Angeles at the W hotel Westwood and announced plans to continue its expansion across the US.
The new 7,000sq ft (650sq m) spa is located on Hilgard Avenue and features 10 treatment rooms, three movie-while-you-manicure and-pedicure station, poolside massages, a men’s lounge with flat screen television and personal steam showers with eucalyptus spray and sauna.
Featuring a selection of facial, massage, body, waxing and nail services, Bliss LA’s signature treatments will include the Triple Oxygen facial, a ginger rub, a hot cream manicure, a hot milk and almond pedicure, the Manly-Cure nail treatment for men and a carrot and sesame body buff.
Founded in 1996 with the opening of Bliss Los Angeles, the group now operates seven spas worldwide, including Bliss London in the UK, Bliss Chicago, Bliss San Francisco and Bliss49 in New York.
The next Bliss spa to open in the US will be in the W Dallas-Victory hotel in Dallas in June as part of an ongoing rollout of Bliss spas in W Hotels. Starwood Hotels and Resorts, which owns the W hotel brand, acquired Bliss in January 2004. Details: www.blissworld.com
