The five-star Santé Winelands Hotel and Wellness Centre in South Africa has opened Cadeaux, a wellness restaurant.
The menu, specifically designed to meet the dietary requirements of spa guests, has been created by chef de cuisine Claire Gunn alongside Dr Geraldine Mitton, Santé Wellness Group medical director and dietician Andrea du Plessis.
Produce is sourced locally from organic markets and nearby farms which have begun growing vegetables exclusively for the Santé Winelands.
Grapes will also play a major role in the cusine at the restaurant as they do in the spa – grapes and grape products are used in the facility’s signature anti-ageing treatment Vinotherapy.
Designed by Lynette van Wyk, the restaurant is located adjacent to the vineyards and seats 40 people inside and a further 24 outside
The hotel, located in the Paarl-Franschhoek valley, was recently named Conde Nast UK’s favourite overseas spa retreat and third best spa in the world. Details: www.santewellness.co.za
