Dusit and CPN team up to revitalise Bangkok with expansive lifestyle complex

Thailand-based developers Dusit Thani Public and Central Pattana (CPN) have unveiled the latest details for the Dusit Central Park project – an immense mixed-use scheme planned for the heart of Bangkok.

The new 440,000 sq m development, which will adjoin the city's Lumpini Park, will be designed by the Office of Metropolitan Architecture and Architects 49, and play host to a series of leisure-friendly attractions and facilities, including luxury residences, an upscale emporium with a large rooftop park, and a renovated Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel.

The 250-room resort will feature a top-floor bar, a restaurant, and Dusit's trademark Deverana Spa.

Residences will comprise over 380 multi-room condos and penthouses.

P49 Deesign & Associates are in charge of the property's interiors; building and structural engineering oversight will be undertaken by MITR Technical Consultant and Aurecon Consulting.

Commenting on the scheme, Suphajee Suthumpun, group chief executive at Dusit Thani Public Company, said: "By blending the best of Thai design and hospitality with international standards of service, we will create a new city landmark that reflects our past, embraces our present, and anticipates the future, and, by doing so, we will continue the legacy of Dusit Thani Bangkok following the same principles Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui had when she founded the hotel – to be bold and do great things, to create things that never existed before, and to always have a positive impact.

"We look forward to working with CPN to doing just that under our promise, Here for Bangkok while revolutionising the way people shop, dine, work, live and stay in this area."

Construction on Dusit Central Park will be carried out in phases, with the first stage – which will include the hotel – slated to be completed by 2023.
