ESPA introduces gentle Optimal Skin Cleansing Oil to nourish, refresh and purify
30 Aug 2023

ESPA’s latest launch – the Optimal Skin Cleansing Oil – effectively nourishes, purifies and removes daily impurities from the skin. The product’s silky oil-to-milk texture is the perfect first step in a double-cleanse routine designed to nurture the skin.

Enhanced with sweet orange, neroli and bergamot essential oils, the Optimal Skin Cleansing Oil offers a soothing aromatherapy experience for both the skin and the senses. It’s been developed to provide a reliable skincare solution that melts away makeup, waterproof mascara, sunscreen and more while refreshing and hydrating the skin.

Formulated with lipid-rich botanical oils to bring about supple, softened skin without stripping or drying, the product is blended with antioxidants and green coffee seed to awaken and leave the complexion looking fresh, radiant and healthy.

Like all of ESPA’s Optimal Skin Pro favourites, the new cleanser features an Omega + Vitamin Complex for supported moisture and vitality.

Ninety-eight per cent of testers agreed that the oil left their skin looking healthy and fresh and that the product removed impurities from their skin*, while 96 per cent agreed that the product left their skin feeling sealed with moisture*.

Suitable for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, blemish-prone and oily skin, the cleanser is dermatologically- and ophthalmologically-tested and safe for use on eyes.**

Key ingredients

Upcycled oils; grapeseed oil, pumpkin seed oil and apricot oil – lipid-rich and a natural source of antioxidants and omegas.
Green coffee seed oil – naturally caffeinated leaving skin feeling energised and nourished.
Myrtle and olive antioxidant complex – concentrated in powerful antioxidants.
Active nutrients, Omega + Vitamin Complex – designed to help seal in moisture for skin that looks and feels healthy, nourished and hydrated.
Uplifting essential oil blend – sweet orange, neroli and bergamot to enhance the skin and senses.

Key benefits

• Oil-to-purifying milk formula.
• Removes impurities and melts away waterproof mascara and makeup.
• Nutrient-rich formula loaded with lipids for cleansing that doesn’t strip or dry the skin.
• Nurtures skin so it feels supple, soft and nourished.
• Complexion looks radiant, fresh and healthy.
• Can be used as the first step in a double-cleanse routine.

Directions for use

Apply two to three pumps of the oil onto palms before massaging gently over dry skin, including the delicate eye area, to remove any makeup and mascara. Then, add a little water to create a second milky cleanse before sweeping away with warm water or a damp cloth.

*Tested on 120 panellists in a two-week user trial
** It was well tolerated and it is safe for use under the test conditions. Moreover, after 28 days of product use, 100 per cent of subjects reported that during the study period, under conditions of use, the product does not sting the eyes

ESPA Optimal Skin Cleansing Oil (RRP £32) will be available from 4 September 2023 from espa.com.
