Macdonald Hotels has unveiled 'Vital Health, Leisure and Beauty,' the new brand identity for its leisure clubs. A total of 12 clubs across the UK will receive a makeover between January and March 2002, and Macdonald plans to develop a further 16 clubs under the Vital brand over the next five years. Only clubs that meet the strict 'Vital' criteria in terms of facilities and service, will be rebranded. Macdonald's clubs typically include a pool, gym, health and beauty treatment rooms, relaxation room and café. We feel that now, with our plans to extend the number of clubs in the UK, it is the right time to give them a stronger, more contemporary identity, said Kevin Ritchie, executive of the leisure group.
