Douwe Egberts has introduced a new speciality coffee machine aimed specifically at small operators.
The Cafitesse 60 produces a range of speciality coffee drinks including cappuccinos, lattes and espressos at the touch of a button. The recommended daily output for the machine is 25-50 cups, making it ideal not only for small independent businesses but also reception areas and meeting rooms.
Paul Freeman, Douwe Egberts Marketing Manager, says: “Speciality machines using real milk have become increasingly popular in both commercial outlets and workplaces, but in the past small volume sites have shied away from them because they are seen as expensive, difficult to use and maintain.
“The Cafitesse 60, however, is quick and easy to use, requires minimal maintenance and cleaning and offers a cup of high quality speciality coffee.”
The machine is claimed to be ideal for self-service situations, with an LCD display guiding the operator or user through all steps on all operations with five touch buttons. Dispense statistics are also available to the operator.
Front-loading, the C60 can be plumbed into a mains water supply or provided with its own 2.9ltr water tank.
In a further development at Douwe Egberts, the company has improved its Cafitesse liquid roast and ground coffee by applying a new process during the brewing stage which captures more of the coffee's primary extract and quality aroma.
The new version Medium Roast Cafitesse coffee is available in 2ltr packs and Selection in 1.25ltr packs. The remainder of the Cafitesse products will follow suit in the coming months.
