An acupuncture expert has joined the staff at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin in Germany.
Professor Günther H Gunia will visit the spa every Wednesday to offer acupuncture, a key part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, an independent healing system 6,000 years old.
It is estimated that, during the time he has practiced acupuncture, Gunia has inserted more than two million needles and has treated patients from one week old to 98 years.
The 9,687sq ft (900sq m) Adlon Day Spa is split across three levels and has 13 treatment rooms. Designed by Anne Marie Jagdfeld, other facilities at the spa include a sauna, steambath, watsu pool and yoga rooms. Treatments use Sensai by Kanebo International and Skinceuticals.
