Three women have launched an exclusive academy for health and beauty business professionals, providing systems and strategies to help them significantly grow their businesses.

The Beauty Experts Academy has been created by three entrepreneurs with backgrounds in salon management, business management and branding and marketing: Helen Willsher, Karen Hardie and Deborah Turner.

The academy will run a specialised programme to help companies get the most from their team and business. Willsher, Hardie and Turner will teach participants how to increase profits, staff productivity, salon management and client numbers.

Willsher commented: “Many beauty professionals that decide to run their own business find that they are drawn away from client liaison and spend their time trying to run the business. For some, it’s the first time they have to deal with business management issues and many feel like they are out of their depth.

“With our salon experience background, together with our top marketing and branding expertise, we understand precisely what day-to-day problems salons and other beauty businesses experience,” added Willsher.

“Our unique mix of skills has allowed us to tailor our programme so that owners can understand and get to grips with the issues that are holding their businesses back,” continued Willsher. “We deliver it in a format that is easy for business owners to implement into their daily operations and we have no doubt that we can make a significant difference to salons and spas.”

Willsher has more than 31 years' industry business experience, having owned several successful salons and assisted with changes to management through expert mentoring.

Hardie has more than 13 years’ experience in a branding and marketing capacity across a range of industries. She has worked for advertising agencies whose clients include Nike, Coca-Cola, GlaxoSmithKline, Mars, Bacardi and BMW.

Turner trained at London’s Image Training Consultancy in 2006 and specialises in personal branding.
