Integrative health resort, Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand, is growing its Online Wellness Service offering with a series of complimentary classes and talks throughout September and October.

The resort is expanding its existing support programme, launched during lockdown, with educational sessions on improving gut health and mood, neurodynamic nerve stretching exercises, Pilates and how to promote a healthy cardiovascular system.

The sessions will be conducted in English at 15:00 (GMT+7) – a full schedule can be found below – and advance reservation is required and can be arranged here.

The programme was initially launched to relieve social isolation during lockdown using live video health and wellbeing consultations, as well as one-on-one fitness tutorials, with Chiva-Som’s naturopaths, physiotherapists and exercise professionals.

New classes

Ways to improve gut health and mood (16 September)
This online webinar focuses on understanding the relationship between the gut and mental health. Participants will learn to identify what contributes to poor gut health, how it affects mood and how it can be improved with natural health interventions such as diet, herbal supplements and lifestyle practices.

Neurodynamic nerve stretching (30 September)
This session will provide the benefits of Neurodynamic stretching, a series of postures and movements that enhance mobility and flexibility, with the benefits of Thai dancing – which has been shown through studies to improve nerve function, muscle power, and enhance blood circulation.

Pilates (1 October)
This low-impact class is suitable for all abilities and incorporates the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility.

How to promote a healthy cardiovascular system (15 October)
This online webinar will provide individuals with the fundamentals to take the reins of their cardiovascular health. Chiva-Som's naturopath and nutritionist, Renee Grandi, will explore how to naturally support blood pressure, cholesterol and vascular integrity with nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle interventions.
