Circadian Trust appoints Phil Boobier as chair

Not-for-profit leisure operator Circadian Trust has named Phil Boobier as its new chair.

Boobier, a former civil servant with 40 years' of experience in the public sector, with a wide range of roles across investment, project governance and accounting.

He takes over from Ross Parker, who has stepped down after just one year in the role, to accept an opportunity overseas.

"Circadian Trust has experienced considerable growth in the last few years and I am very much looking forward to continuing to support its future development," Boobier said.

In addition to his role at Circadian, Boobier is currently a director of Bristol-based Briarsmead and a lecturer at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.

Circadian Trust currently operates five lifestyle centres and one dual-use sports centre in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council.

Circadian Trust appoints Phil Boobier as chair
