The Crerar Hotels group is to open a new spa at its hotel at Craignure Bay on the Isle of Mull.
The £2m (2.6m euro, US$3.8m) Isle of Mull Leisure Club and Spa will open on 1 March and provide the first swimming pool for the island.
The spa’s interior was designed by Glasgow-based Davidson & Co Interior and will include a 55.7ft (17m) swimming pool and treatment rooms for couples and individuals.
Facilities will include a Norwegian-style spruce sauna, a relaxation suite and a mud room. Treatments will use Decléor.
Both the swimming pool and the spa overlook Craignure Bay will boast views out to the Sound of Mull, Ben Cruachan and Ben Nevis.
The new facility is the result of a five-year partnership between Crerar Hotels and the Isle of Mull community and will be open to hotel guests as well as members of the local community and day visitors to the island.
Future plans for the Crerar Hotels group include two further hotels and spas in Scotland, at St Andrews and Glencoe, which are currently being developed.
