The Culloden Estate and Spa in Northern Ireland has been ranked as one of the top 100 hotels in the world, according to the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) magazine.
The 100 hotels were divided into 10 categories, each with 10 placings.
The Culloden was placed fourth in the list of the world’s top 10 city hotels which also included Le Meurice in Paris, The Dorchester in London and Rome’s Hotel de Russie.
The Spa at Culloden recently underwent a £500,000 refurbishment, with the addition of five treatment rooms alongside two relaxation rooms and an extension to the lounge and refreshment areas.
The spa, which uses ESPA products, covers a total of 15,000sq ft (1,400sq m) and has a signature therapy of Chakra balancing with hot stones.
