International design house Custo Barcelona has teamed up with Mexico’s Capricho group to provide the interior design for the new Capricho Residences property on the Mexican Caribbean.
Capricho Residences will be located near to Cancun’s International Airport between a small lagoon of mangroves and the ocean. It will house 220 residential units and four penthouse suites.
There will also be several swimming pools, a boutique hotel and a luxury spa and gym in a private beach club.
As part of Custo’s design involvement, the spa at Capricho will feature a ‘dreamlike’ circular mural on the ceiling of the indoor pool, exclusive design elements in the treatment room and eco-friendly signature Custo uniforms.
Work will begin on the project later this year. The hotel, beach club and spa will be open for business by early 2009.
Custo Barcelona was launched more than 25 years ago and the fashion brand is now sold in 35 countries.
Capricho Residences will be part of the 500-acre Playa Mujeres Resort development which will feature a 170-strip marina and two championship signature Greg Norman golf courses.
