Doug Elman named director of education for Saltability
POSTED 05 Jun 2018 . BY Jane Kitchen
Elman specialises in creating continuing education for massage schools, spas and professional organisations across the US
Saltability, a spa industry vendor that provides Himalayan salt stone treatments and products for spas, recently announced the addition of Doug Elman as the company’s director of education.

A licensed massage therapist, experienced spa industry veteran and educator, Elman specialises in creating continuing education for massage schools, spas and professional organisations across the US.

“Doug’s compassion and desire to serve others, plus his passion for education, create a natural blend for him into our team, and we are elated for him to serve as the director of education for Saltability,” said Ann Brown, Saltability founder. “We are excited to join forces with him to share the multi-therapeutic benefits of Himalayan Salt Stone Massage and Saltability’s green and eco-friendly features with the spa industry.”

Elman was the prior director of training for Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in North America, and was responsible for all education within the chain of more than 300 spas. In his new position, he will work to educate spa partners on Saltability treatments, which have been developed by Brown.

“I fell in love with the salt stones immediately,” Elman said. “It’s a uniquely wonderful way to incorporate heat and the therapeutic benefits of the Himalayan salt. When applied optimally, in my personal opinion, it’s one of the finest spa experiences available. Our partnership focuses on ensuring practitioners deliver just that.”
