European Spa Exhibition and Summit 2009
POSTED 01 Jun 2009 . BY
Everything you always wanted to know about spa, but were afraid to ask... it’s the event spa professionals have been waiting for!

EUROPEAN SPA is an exclusive event entirely dedicated to the growth of the spa sector in Europe, from day spas and urban spas to medical and hotel spas. It will take place from Sunday 13 to Tuesday 15 September in Paris, France.
Many prestigious spa industry names will be exhibiting, including ADN Informatique, Carita, Cinq Mondes, Clarins, Comfort Zone, Decléor, Gharieni, Klapp, Lemi, Payot, Power Plate, LPG, Verre and Quartz and Vitaman.
The EUROPEAN SPA SUMMIT will be held in conjunction with the Exhibition, on Sunday 13th and Monday 14th September. This summit has been a vital reference point for hospitality and spa professionals for the past two years.
This year, the programme is based on a search for solutions in terms of spa start-up, management, renovation and optimization. There are two days to make your spa project dynamic and successful and these are divided into four independent half-day modules.
Each day will be placed under the responsibility of an international expert who will play the role of host and moderator, offering participants the chance to ask questions and exchange ideas with the speakers at the end of the presentations.
The summit programme will also be boosted by presentations by a number of other experts who are yet to be announced.

Sunday 13 September: Raoul Andrews Sudre, director of Aspen Spa Management, and an experienced consultant in the spa world, will host the two sessions on the first day.
On the morning programme is the subject of starting up, including the 20 essential steps, from concept identification to a spa's opening, and the role of each individual (from consultant and architect to decorator) as well as the renovation of an existing spa and how to place it among trends and grow profits.
The afternoon will be devoted to the different types of management involved in a hotel spa, and the chance to combine the name of your spa with a skincare brand.

Monday 14 September: Hosted by spa consultant and visionary Anni Hood, the second day aims to inspire and motivate participants concerning optimizing performance. Marketing, communications, promotion, philosophy, products and trends are all on the agenda along with much more.

The summit will conclude with a final discussion by experts on key issues of the spa industry and the subjects brought up during the summit. As feedback, the floor will be given to the audience who can ask questions and share their opinions with the experts.
Major international trade magazines, including Spa Business, Spa Opportunities, European Spa, SpaFinder, Spa Management Europe, EsteticaDesign and Proguidespa.com are involved and are supporting and spreading the news about the event.
Of note as well is KLAFS, the European leader of spa equipment: for the first time KLAFS is the Platinum sponsor of the event.
