Four Seasons opens spa at Doha resort
POSTED 11 May 2005 . BY
The four Seasons hotel in Doha, Qatar, has added a 36,000sq ft (3.340sq m) spa to its facilities.

The 232-room hotel’s spa, which opened on 23 April, now offers guests a wide range of treatments based on the five elements – wood, fire, earth, metal and water.

The spa has five single and two double treatment rooms, a reception area with a consultation room, a Thai massage room, a colour therapy room, a laconium room, hydrotherapy treatment rooms and separate male and female relaxation areas.

Other facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, cold and warm plunge pools, a Kneipp foot bath, laconium beds, a tepidarium for body wraps and scrubs, a sauna, an ice room, a steamroom and a meditation room.

The spa’s treatment list includes Swedish and Balinese massages, aromatherapy, shiatsu, reflexology, salt therapy, hot stone treatments and body wraps.

The relaxation rooms will offer complimentary health drinks as well as a selection of light meals.

The hotel, located at the city’s West Bay Complex, has seven restaurants and other leisure amenities include a three-level beachfront grotto pool, hot tubs and a health and fitness club. The Doha Golf Club, home of the Qatar Masters PGA tournament, is a 10-minute drive away.

Founded in 1960, Four Seasons operates 66 hotels in 29 countries and currently has 20 properties under development.
