Hastings Hotels partners with ESPA and Wellness for Cancer to offer treatments for cancer patients
POSTED 29 Jul 2019 . BY Lauren Heath-Jones
The treatments are designed to soothe stressed minds and nourish the body and will incorporate ESPA products

Here at the Culloden, we are glad to be working with Wellness For Cancer to provide guests with gentle, stress-free treatments and complete privacy during their wellness break.
– NIamh Rice, spa manager at The Culloden Estate & Spa
Hastings Hotels, an independent hotel group based in Northern Ireland, has launched a range of face and body treatments for guests living with, through and beyond cancer at its Culloden Estate & Spa and Slieve Donard resorts.

Working with Wellness for Cancer, an organisation specialising in cancer therapy training, and luxury product house ESPA, Hastings Hotels has developed a treatment menu, using natural products, to soothe the mind and nourish the body.

Spa therapists at both Culloden Estate and Slieve Donard have been trained and certified to deliver therapeutic services for guests who are undergoing, or have previously undergone, cancer treatment, as well as been trained in specific medical conditions, such as lymphedema, in order to tailor all treatments to the client's specific needs.

The menu consists of four treatments including three massage treatments - Be Nurtured Energy Balancer, Be Nurtured Back, Face and Scalp and Be Nurtured Massage - and the Be Nurtured facial.

A 90-minute ritual, the Be Nurtured Energy Balance, is described as a gentle and indulgent massage designed to rebalance the body, hydrate the skin and calm the mind. It features long, warming strokes and nourishing body oils, while specially-selected crystals are used to restore serenity.

The Be Nurtured Back, Face and Scalp treatment lasts 90 minutes and is designed to target the three areas that carry the most tension. It incorporates both a soothing back and scalp massage and a personalised facial.

The Be Nurtured facial, a 60-minute treatment, begins with a consultation establishing guests needs and concerns. It combines light massage with gentle natural products, including cleanser, mask, serum and moisturiser.

Lasting 60 minutes the Be Nurtured Massage is a personalised massage treatment that is designed to nourish and hydrate the skin and soothe the mind. It focuses on areas of concern and uses gentle movements with rich oils.

All treatments have an emphasis on wellbeing and begin with a personal consultation, guided breath-work and visualisations to aid relaxation.

Niamh Rice, spa manager at the Culloden Estate, said: "Here at the Culloden, we are glad to be working with Wellness For Cancer. We provide guests with gentle, stress-free treatments and complete privacy during their wellness break."

"We have developed a special collection of nurturing face and body treatments, specially designed to soothe the guest and nourish their body, using ESPA natural products. All treatments have been specially tailored for those who are living with, through and beyond cancer," Rice added.

Prices range from £85 - £130 and include full use of the spa facilities, as well as complimentary robes, slippers and towels.
