Hilton confirms latest Riyadh hotel deal
POSTED 18 Jan 2012 . BY Pete Hayman
Hilton Worldwide has confirmed the signing of the 210-bedroom Hilton Riyadh King Fahd Road - the fourth Hilton Hotels and Resorts hotel due to open in the Saudi Arabian capital.

A management agreement with Obeikan Real Estate Development Company will see the new property open in 2014, with the brand's first three hotels to launch in the city by 2013.

Facilities at the Hilton Riyadh King Fahd Road include an eforea: spa at Hilton for men only, which has been designed by Di Leonardo and boasts a thermal lounge and a transition lounge.

The spa also includes six multi-purpose treatment rooms - including a hammam treatment room - and an indoor swimming pool and relaxation deck, as well as a fitness centre and changing spaces.

Treatments on offer at the spa will be the "three journeys of eforea", which encompasses Men by Vitaman; Essentials by Kerstin Florian; and Escape by Li'tya.

The new-build hotel will be located adjacent to the landmark Kingdom Tower and will be at the heart of the country's commercial and administrative centre.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts global head Dave Horton said: "We hope our presence will help the capital meet the growing demand for premium hotels with global expertise and local sensibilities."

Rudi Jagerbascher, area president for Middle East and Africa at Hilton Worldwide, added: "The location is a perfect match for the brand and will help us cater to Riyadh's diverse audience spanning the high-end leisure and business segments."

Hilton Worldwide currently operates six hotels in Saudi Arabia, with a further 14 in the development pipeline.
