Zach Thomas is now overseeing Island Spa Catalina in California, operated by American Leisure, as spa director. Thomas previously worked at The Spa at Terranea in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, as spa operations manager.

Open since November 2014, Island Spa Catalina is also launching Fitness on Demand, a virtual group fitness programme, and has unveiled new spa treatments for 2016.

Fitness on Demand is a virtual fitness provider that offers fitness opportunities through a touch-screen kiosk. Classes include kickboxing, stomach-toning workouts, Pilates, cardio and more, all taught virtually. Classes will be included with an overnight stay, but are also available to the public.

The spa is also introducing a Red Carpet Ready Facial, launching during Los Angeles’s awards season and featuring diamond and gold collagen masks.
