Dubai-based Jumeirah Group has revealed more details about the rollout of its global spa brand called Talise over the next two years.
Launched in 2007 and developed over a period of eight months, there are three key models for Talise - an urban model for 'essential wellness'; a resort model for 'exceptional wellness' and a destination model for 'extraordinary wellness'.
The first Talise-branded spa opened at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai while a Talise Wellness Spa will open this year in Shanghai, China.
Two more Talise spas are due to open in 2009 in Qatar and Jordan with further sites in Thailand and Bermuda launching later that year.
According to the Dubai-based group, its new Jumeirah Southlands Resort is the first resort to be built in Bermuda in 35 years. Situated in 37 acres along the country's South Shore, Jumeirah will manage the property, which will boast a 26,910sq ft (2,500sq m) Talise wellness facility.
The rollout of Talise is part of Jumeirah's plans to expand its portfolio to 57 hotels and resorts by the end of 2011.
