Dubai-based hospitality group Jumeirah has been appointed by TGR-Group Asia to manage a high-end private island resort currently under development in Ao Po Bay, Phuket, Thailand.
Work is scheduled to be completed in late 2008 and the resort will include extensive spa facilities alongside 65 pool villas – each with its own private infinity pool and whirlpool.
The property will feature a health and fitness centre and a large, freeform swimming pool. There will also be a 1,310ft (400m) private beach, marina, private yacht club and four restaurants and bars.
The resort will be situated on the shores of Koh Raet, an untouched tropical island located 1,640ft (500m) offshore of Ao Po Bay, north east of Phuket.
