A new health spa called Panchakarma is reportedly to be built near the Shulpaneshwar sanctuary in the Narmada district of India.
According to Express India, the Panchakarma centre will offer Kerala-type massage and steam remedies. Treatments will be based around Panchakarma therapy, which consists of five steps, or karmas: Snehan, Swedan, Vaman, Virechan and Basti.
Speaking about Panchakarma, Narmada District Ayurvedic Officer Chandrakant Trivedi explained that the wellness concept would centre cleansing the body through natural supplements, found in water known as Jaru.
Operations will be coordinated by the District Ayurvedic Department with guidelines from the State Tourist Department and Narmada District authorities.
