Hotel and resort developer Sol Kerzner is preparing to open the One&Only Reethi Rah six-star resort in the Maldives this month.

The resort is located on the North Male’ Atoll and will feature 130 villas, 40 swimming pools, 12 beaches, a fitness suite, hair and beauty salon, restaurants and bars as well as a 9,500sq m (100,000sq ft) spa operated by ESPA.

The spa will boast eight single treatment rooms in separate pavilions and two double treatment rooms on platforms over the ocean, as well as crystal steamrooms, stone saunas, ice fountains and the Bastien Gonzales Podiatry and Pedicure Clinic.

Kerzner launched the new resort with a celebrity-filled party at Sketch in London on 19 April.
