The steel frame of a new £16.1m (US$25.4m, EUR19m) leisure, spa and cultural complex in Huyton, Merseyside, UK, has been completed.
Due to open in autumn 2011, the 6,600sq m (71,042sq ft) Knowsley Leisure and Culture park will feature a wet spa area with a steamroom, sauna and hot room.
Four treatment rooms and a relaxation lounge will form part of a dry spa area at the Broadway Malyan-designed complex.
Other facilities at the centre will include two 25m swimming pools, a fitness suite, a six-court sports hall and a squash court, as well as dance studios and a café.
Knowsley Council cabinet member for community, leisure and culture Eddie Connor said: "This provides not only improvements to leisure provision in the area, but also to the local economy and employment opportunities."
