The 210,000sq ft Life Time Nortshore is spread across three floors
Facilities include a huge gym floor, group exercise spaces, pools and a spa
The mall-based site is the fourth resort-like destination Life Time has opened
Health club operator Life Time has opened a luxury fitness and athletic resort experience at Northshore Mall, a former shopping centre in Peabody, Massachusetts, US.

The 210,000sq ft Life Time Northshore – situated within the Greater Boston area – is marketed as a first-of-its-kind destination and is spread across three floors, as the operator has taken over the entirety of the former shopping mall.

Facilities include an extensive gym floor with more than 400 pieces of CV and resistance equipment, as well as dedicated studios for Life Time's group fitness programming – ranging from indoor cycling and yoga to Pilates – one-on-one personal training and small group personal training.

There are also two full-size basketball courts, an indoor/outdoor aquatic center featuring leisure and lap pools and resort-style seating, a dedicated Kids' Academy with tumbling, movement, language and learning classes, creche and the LifeCafe – a nutrition-focused, fast-casual restaurant.

An on-site, full-service LifeSpa provides saunas, steamrooms and a range of wellness services, ranging from body treatments and massages to hair and nail treatments.

LT Recovery, a dedicated space for athletic performance and recovery offers metabolic assessments, nutrition coaching, sports and athletic recovery treatments and chiropractic and physical therapy care.

Life Time's president and COO, Jeff Zwiefel, said: "Greater Boston has embraced Life Time since we entered the market in 2015.

"With the addition of Northshore, we now offer a cluster of five Life Time destinations offering amazing health, wellness, sport and lifestyle experiences designed to support healthy, happy lives for all ages."

The mall-based site is the fourth resort-like destination Life Time has built in collaboration with mall operator Simon, which operates Northshore Mall. The company has 156 sites and growing.
