The first spa to open in Warwickshire for more than a decade, Elan Spa at Mallory Court Hotel, will be established in April.
Located just outside Leamington Spa and sitting in 10 acres of grounds surrounded by sheltered woodland, the luxury, state-of-the-art spa will have a separate entrance to the main hotel and employ the latest energy efficient techniques.
It was created by Alistair Johnson at Spa Creators, who have more than 20 years experience in spa design and consultancy.
“During the design of the prestigious Elan Spa at Mallory Court, the flagship spa within the Eden Hotel Collection, we worked closely with the architects to create an environment with a luxury private members’ club feel,” said Johnson.
“Attention to detail was key to achieving this and the design concept incorporates flourishes including Osborne & Little wallpaper, laser-cut stonework and an impressive spa terrace with a vitality pool, log burning fire and glass-fronted sauna overlooking the grounds.”
Elan Spa will feature an outdoor vitality pool with countryside views, glazed outdoor sauna, rhassoul mud room, seven treatment rooms, 10m indoor hydro swimming pool with black mosaic tiling, thermal retreat , sauna, steam room and fitness suite.
Garden trails and wellbeing/mindfulness retreats are also planned. In addition to the main hotel accommodation there are 12 luxurious spa bedrooms, and spa dining will also be available.
Spa rituals, body treatments and facials are inspired by nature and designed to rebalance mind, body and spirit. Product partners are ESPA, Orly and organic brand Ila – it is the only spa in Warkwickshire to offer Ila.
Guests can choose from five, 115-minute Ila Wellness Experiences, including the soporific Dreamtime Journey which is ideal for insomniacs and restless minds. The treatment uses jasmine, lavender and patchouli plus the aromatic Himalayan plant, spikenard, which stimulates the immune system.
Also on the menu are body wraps, ESPA maternity treatments, men’s treatments, rhassoul experiences, hand and nail treatments at the boutique nail bar and waxing.
Elan Spa will also offer a range of day spa packages and spa breaks.
“After working in the spa industry for many years it is extremely exciting heading up the launch and opening of the newest luxury spa in Warwickshire for 10 years,” said spa manager Gemma Marsh, who has 19 years experience and a CV that includes roles at David Lloyd, Bannatynes, MacDonald Hotels, Menzies Hotels and Center Parcs.
