Mandarin Oriental opened its first hotel in Japan on 2 December, the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, located on the top nine floors of the new Cesar Pelli-designed Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower in the city’s financial district.
The hotel boasts 179 guestrooms and suites as well as seven restaurants and bars – six of which are located on the top two floors of the tower offering views of Tokyo Bay and the Imperial Gardens.
Also on the top two floors is the Spa at Mandarin Oriental which offers nine rooms and suites, vitality pools, water lounges, a dry sauna, a crystal steamroom, an ice fountain and a fitness suite.
