Marriott opens the first of seven new Thai properties
POSTED 08 Mar 2016 . BY Jane Kitchen
The Quan Spa includes seven treatment rooms, four vichy showers and separate male and female saunas
Marriott International has opened a new hotel in Hua Hin, Thailand, complete with a 430sq m (4,629sq ft) Quan Spa.

The Marriott Hua Hin includes 322 bedrooms that combine modern design and Thai Colonial features, and is located on 8.7 beachfront acres.

The Quan Spa includes seven treatment rooms, four vichy showers and separate male and female saunas, and uses both French-based Algotherm products and its own in-house Quan skincare.

The hotel also includes a lagoon-shaped swimming pool, adults and children’s pools, water slide, treehouse and 24-hour fitness centre.

The Marriott Hua Hin is the first of seven new hotels across Thailand owned by TCC Land Asset World and managed by Marriott; three additional properties are scheduled to open this year.

“Hua Hin is a famous vacation getaway for both local and international travellers,” said Karl Hudson, area vice president – Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia and Japan for Marriott. “Demand from inbound travel from Thai residents has been strong and we see the number of foreign visitors increasing, at 5.63 per cent year over year.”
