Spa resource and marketing company SpaFinder has made three new appointments to its European staff.

Encina Barragan has been appointed business development manager for Spain and Portugal; Marco Bottone the development manager for Italy and France; and Nicola Smith the new public relations manager.

Barragan joins the company from appliance manufacturer Electrolux, where she held the position of marketing and product manager.

Marco Bottone’s career includes a stint as global account manager at Ikon. Smith joins SpaFinder from UK-based hospitality group Whitbread.

Reporting to chief executive Kevin Turnbull, Barragan and Bottone will be responsible for maintaining and developing the SpaFinder programme in their respective countries, including increasing the number of spa partners and maximising SpaFinder's gift card opportunities.
